This fun, light, bright shade of blue has a cyan base tone - not quite sky blue, not quite turquoise - it’s totally giving us the feeling of Summer!
With a beautiful relaxed slub throughout and a medium weight feel and drape, this 100% linen will be perfect for a range of projects including loose flowing pants, breezy shirts and summery dresses. This fabric is very slightly sheer due to its light colour so may require lining.
In comparison, our ‘Powder Blue’ linen is more muted with a purple undertone.

This fabric is what I was hoping for. The colour is brilliant and the fabric weight is perfect for my project. The edges will fray so I have some excellent braid to keep those strands in line!
I have had a pattern in mind and made a toile first to check the fit before I washed the linen to start sewing. As soon as it was dry I realised just how beautifully soft this material is to handle. Not at all stiff and I found myself just looking at the sweet pattern and the rich colouring of the weave for quite sometime. Pieces are now cut and sewing will start on the weekend. I feel so privelidged to be able to use such beautiful fabric for my sewing project. It is really delightful.
