Persian Green is a rich-coloured and vibrant deep teal linen fabric is a non-transparent, mid-light weight fabric, ideal for summer clothing, like shirts, dresses or flowy skirts. It features the typical linen look and feel which naturally wrinkles and will soften with wash and wear. The colour works well by itself or as an accent colour in combination.

This fabric is what I was hoping for. The colour is brilliant and the fabric weight is perfect for my project. The edges will fray so I have some excellent braid to keep those strands in line!
I have had a pattern in mind and made a toile first to check the fit before I washed the linen to start sewing. As soon as it was dry I realised just how beautifully soft this material is to handle. Not at all stiff and I found myself just looking at the sweet pattern and the rich colouring of the weave for quite sometime. Pieces are now cut and sewing will start on the weekend. I feel so privelidged to be able to use such beautiful fabric for my sewing project. It is really delightful.
