Do All Fabric Stores Supply EUROPEAN FLAX® Certified Linen?

Do All Fabric Stores Supply EUROPEAN FLAX® Certified Linen?

A lot of linen weaving mills and fabric stores tend to claim that their linen is made from European grown flax due to the demand for pure linen grown in Europe mainly France, Belgium and Netherlands.

How do we know if your linen is made from authentic EUROPEAN FLAX®?

Well, the only way to ensure that your linen is made from European grown flax is to ask if your supplier’s processing mill carry the current and valid European Flax® certification from CELC. If the supplier mill does not carry the certification, it may mean that the linen may not be authentic European flax.

“The European Confederation of Flax and Hemp (CELC) is the only European agro-industrial organization federating all the stages of production and transformation for linen & hemp”. You may read more about CELC and its certification process by visiting http://news.europeanflax.com/

Why do we only source from EUROPEAN FLAX® certified suppliers?

At de Linum, we are passionate about pure linen and take satisfaction in sourcing and supplying the finest and authentic flax linen to our customers. As we mentioned above, European flax® certification from CELC is the only certification that ensures your linen is grown in Europe mainly France, Belgium and the Netherlands.  Our supplier mills carry this guarantee of origin certification and this is to ensure we supply the premium linen to our customers.
